A pledge..or whatever..

Published by andoyitok under Happy Thoughts

Just read Crislyn’s post on the weekend snapshot and I am wishing that I brought along my digital camera when I came here for my days off. Alas, the weekend is over now too, so i guess I will have to keep that in mind the next time a weekend is coming up. I do have a thing for photography too, with a photo being able to paint a thousand words. So I guess the first weekend snapshot post would be for the next weekend. Watch out for that. :)

Weekend quality time

Published by andoyitok under Happy Thoughts

Another week has started, and a busy one at that I think. However, this is one of those times where I can almost embrace the coming week as I feel as though I am adequately rested from the week before. I have been in Dumaguete since last Tuesday (I am on 6 consecutive days off, semi-retired I call it LOL). I had been in Cebu last Thursday to accompany my dad on meetings there regarding a new business venture they are taking a look at, and I am glad I went with him on the trip as he got sick with fever while we were there, so I was on hand to do the driving, as we brought a car with us. We also got to take a look at surplus Isuzu elf trucks which they planned on buying for use on their marketing/supplying business. Although I hate driving in busy cities like Cebu, but it was all good, and I didn’t get in trouble with Citom (Cebu City’s traffic agency)..hehehe..

I got back in Dumaguete last Saturday around lunch time, and back to my favorite evening pastime with Borski - Badminton! :) It had been two consecutive days already that I hadn’t sweat it out and I could feel that my body was needing it. There is nothing like the feeling of the adrenaline rush and the workout that is badminton. You could say we are both Baddicts (read: Badminton addicts).

We started Sunday with an early mass, together with the whole family, minus Ray, my brother next to me, who is starting his job in Bacolod. Afterwards, we went to the market for marketing in preparation for a day at the beach. It was the birthday of Sylfa, a staff working with my dad. We had prepared roasted chicken, pork humba, and fish kinilaw. Yum yum..lol. We spent most of the day at Wuthering Heights Beach Resort. It was truly a nice way to unwind and recharge one’s mental and emotional batteries. We capped the day with 5 or so episodes of Gray’s Anatomy at home before we called it a day.

It was a tiring day, but truly one of our sources of our happy thoughts. :)
