These past few years, I have been witness to some of our family friends who have lost their valuables to foreclosure. I am talking of items such as motorcycles, appliances, to more important things like their homes. I guess we have fallen into tough times indeed.
The prices of basic commodities are steadily rising. Rice, a basic need for the everyday person is now pegged at PhP 40 a kilo. Gas prices are rising faster than we can say ‘again?!?’
We Filipinos have a way of swaying like the bamboo when we are faced with trying times, but I guess this time, our resolve will be tested yet once more. I just hope we re evaluate our finances as well as our spending habits so that we can avoid having to face the prospect of foreclosure. For all those in need of help, perhaps they can check out some help sites online. After all, there is no place like home. Right?

As I had mentioned in a previous post in here, my parents had left for USA last month. They had been there from June 16 and they arrived here July 17th. As for me, I was out of Dumaguete since before they left, and wasn’t back until after they arrived. Oh well, the training for my new department has kept me quite busy the past few weeks, and I don’t see that changing for the next 6 months or so.
I just arrived here last Sunday and this coming Sunday, I will be leaving again for 1 month training, this time at Leyte. So I guess Borski and I have been making the most of our time for our preparations. We have decided to get a wedding coordinator since, honestly, we don’t think we could take care of the preparations just by ourselves, considering how busy we are at work and the limited time that we have..sigh…
Anyway, now that I am travelling quite often, I am thinking of getting a more durable travel bag since the last one I had got ripped, partly due to my unorganized packing style. Hehehe. Unlike Borski, I am a sanguine at heart, and she often is quite amused looking at the way I pack. I am thinking of buying Swiss Army bags, like these:

I guess you could say that is what we’ve been up to lately where blogging is concerned. I didn’t think we’d be this busy but I guess we have been these past few weeks. It has been compounded by a lot of things.
Firstly, Borski’s laptop got down with a virus and she had to ask their sysad’s assistance in taking care of it. Then there’s my ongoing training for my new department. Instead of my usual 9 days on/6 days off cycle, I am on a 28 days on/7 days off cycle while on training for 6 months so I have little time to spare. And not to mention that our wedding date is fast approaching!!! (whoah!) so I guess for now blogging has taken a backseat.
Anyways, to all you guys who have been consistently dropping by, thanks a lot. You don’t know how much it means to us. So, from the bottom of our hearts, thanks.
