The things that matter
These past few years, I have been witness to some of our family friends who have lost their valuables to foreclosure. I am talking of items such as motorcycles, appliances, to more important things like their homes. I guess we have fallen into tough times indeed.
The prices of basic commodities are steadily rising. Rice, a basic need for the everyday person is now pegged at PhP 40 a kilo. Gas prices are rising faster than we can say ‘again?!?’
We Filipinos have a way of swaying like the bamboo when we are faced with trying times, but I guess this time, our resolve will be tested yet once more. I just hope we re evaluate our finances as well as our spending habits so that we can avoid having to face the prospect of foreclosure.
