A matter of perspective

Published by andoyitok under Personal

I have just been texting Borski just now and she has told me that she doesn’t have any internet connection where she’s at, and that she can’t access her take-home work without any connection. Well, there is always a simple solution to that. Hmmm..what might that be?

Simple. I told her to simply no longer think of it and just get some rest. :)

Anyway, it’s already midnight. The rain has just about stopped. It has been going on the whole day. When I got off work today, we had to travel the long route to Bacolod because our usual route was blocked by a landslide. To add to that, when we got home (about 30 mins later that our usual travel time), there was a blackout that lasted until around 8pm. We were already seriously contemplating on taking our dinner with just candlelight for illumination when the lights went on, thank God. Anyway, still, these things are so petty and pale in comparison to what happened in China, where an earthquake has killed about 12,000 people, and left around 6,000 missing, their worst earthquake in 3 decades.

As for me, I am going to offer a prayer for all those unfortunate souls who lost their lives in that tragedy, and thank God for the previous rainy day. Thank you Lord for all the blessings. Good night.

Relief from Erectile Dysfunction

Published by andoyitok under Personal

Erectile dysfunction (ED or (male) impotence) is a sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis. There are various underlying causes, such as cardiovascular leakage and diabetes, many of which are medically treatable. Nerve trauma from prostatectomy surgery can also cause chronic erectile dysfunction.

The causes of erectile dysfunction may be physiological or psychological. Physiologically, erection is a hydraulic mechanism based upon blood entering and being retained in the penis, and there are various ways in which this can be impeded, most of which are amenable to treatment. Psychological impotence is where erection or penetration fails due to thoughts or feelings (psychological reasons) rather than physical impossibility; this can often be helped. Notably in psychological impotence there is a very strong placebo effect.

Today, however, there have been numerous medical breakthroughs that tackle this dilemma. One of these is Generic Cialis. which is taken orally and helps men suffering from erectile dysfunction achieve and maintain an erection. It works in much the same way as Sildenafil Citrate (Viagra), but is much faster, lasting up to 36 hours. Tadalafil was initially introduced into Europe, and is now available worldwide.

La Ville-lumière

Published by borski under Personal

“I want to go to Paris!” was my answer way back in elementary every time my classmates asked me to name a city I wish to go. La Ville-lumière or “The City of Light” is still in my “travel it” list. It will remain there until the “travel it” list becomes a reality. I want to go to Paris, France because there’s just so much to see and experience. I want to observe even in a short period of time its fame as a centre of education and ideas and its early adoption of street lighting.

Of course, before I will embark on this trip, I have to look for Paris Hotels where we can stay. A Hotel Paris is the right choice if I want to enjoy their spas and romantic dinners for two. However, I can also opt for Paris bed and breakfast accommodations depending on my mood and itinerary of choice. I heard that B&B are private homes with private bedrooms (plus a bathroom) for guests who want to feel like they are just in the comfort of their own homes. Breakfast is served in the morning – in the bedroom, a dining room, or the host’s kitchen (great!). What’s more, a hostess is a good source of detailed information on the town. With the good points, I think I’ll opt for the latter. What say you?

Taking responsibility

Published by borski under Personal

I was in the Business Education Office of St. Paul University of Dumaguete City at exactly 9 AM this morning. Tita Nora (my soon to be mother-in-law) and I had 3 items to accomplish. One of the items was to book a reservation at the Mother of Perpetual Help Church for a wedding on any Saturday on October 2008, except October 18 as this was already reserved. While we were on our way to the church, Tita told me that her fasting blood sugar level increased from 134 mg/dL yesterday to 150 mg/dL this morning. She said that this was because they ate to their heart’s content last night! Last night was Clyde’s 24th birthday as mentioned by Ian on his Upcoming events post. She did not wait for me to remind her again not to eat a heavy dinner; she concluded herself that when she eats more at night, her blood sugar level goes up the morning after. “Light dinner only for me from now on,” she said. She also added that she will continue with more resolve her weight loss program of (1) having moderate and regularly scheduled meals, (2) performing brisk walking/jogging early in the morning and (3) slowly canceling out the foods to be avoided into her diet. Hearing that from her, I’m positive that Tita will be on her way to a happier and healthier lifestyle.

Pedestal bathroom sink

Published by borski under Personal

I never thought that I would be interested on the types, details and descriptions of items found in a bathroom until I saw the bathroom of one of my couple friends when I excused myself and asked if I can use their bathroom to relieve myself. Although their bathroom has limited space, they were able to successfully create an open and bigger look for their small yet fully maximized bathroom by using one of the more elegant pedestal sinks available in the market today. I like it because the overall look is neat and stylish as the drain and supply pipes are hidden from sight.

I want to have one like the picture shown below when Nai and I will be building our own home.

elizabethan.jpg

Apart from the fact that this will take much less space, it will surely be an eye-catching ornament for our bathrooms by itself. To complete the picture, I only need to add the following: a towel bar, a hung cabinet, a mirror and a wicker basket.
