Mr. Sohail and the grateful anonymous robber

Kindness begets kindness. Nothing could attest to that more than what happened recently to Mohammad Sohail, an owner of a deli in Long Island. Mohammad Sohail became famous when, after being robbed by a guy with a baseball bat, he pulled out a 9mm rifle and turned the tables on the would-be culprit, whereupon the disarmed robber dropped to his knees and begged for forgiveness crying, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” and tearfully claiming that his family had fallen on hard times. The compassionate Sohail then gave the robber $40 and a loaf of bread.

Just recently, he received a letter that may have come from the once robber that he had pity on. The mysterious writer once more apologized to Mr. Sohail, and then thanked him for turning his life around after sparing his life. Enclosed in that letter was a $50 bill.

Now, doesn’t that just warm your heart?
